Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology - PIET, Panipat Admission
Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology offers various programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. PIET Courses also include several diploma courses. The undergraduate as well as the postgraduate programmes are offered under different specializations. The institute not only offers courses in Engineering but also in management studies.
The application forms of the college are available online on the official website of the college. Candidates can download the application form of the Institute from the official website of the Institute. The students are required to read the prospectus and admission form of the institute carefully before filling the application form.
The admission in the courses are based on the different national as well as state level entrance examination. The admission process usually depends on the results of the following entrance examinations:

Admission to PIET:
Admission to Undergraduate Courses:
Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology offers B.Tech and BBA courses at the undergraduate level. B.Tech course is offered under different specializations which enable the students to choose the course according to their field of interest. The college also provides lateral entry admissions to B.Tech degree.
- Admission in the B.Tech programme depends on the result of JEE (Joint Entrance Examination)
- Admission to the B.Tech lateral program is done on the basis of merit of Online Lateral Engg. Entrance Test [O-LEET].
- Admission to BBA and BCA will be done based on the merit list of the last qualifying examination. The students are primarily selected on the basis of the marks obtained by them in their senior secondary school.
Admission to Postgraduate Courses:
PIET offers M.Tech, MBA and MCA courses at the postgraduate level. The college provides direct admission to students in second year of MCA.
- Admission to M.Tech is done through GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
- Admission in MBA is done based on the performance of students in CAT/MAT/CMAT. Deserving candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Test and Personal Interview.
- For admission in MCA the candidates must have completed their graduation in the relevant subject. Admission is given to the candidates on the basis of their score in the pre- qualifying examination followed by an Entrance Test and Personal Interview.
The candidates interested in taking admission in the college must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria of the college.
Minimum eligibility criteria
- Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech must have passed senior secondary school with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- For BBA, candidates must have to pass in senior secondary examination with English as a compulsory subject.
- For BCA, candidates must have to pass in senior secondary examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- For admission in M.Tech the candidates must have bachelors' degree in the relevant field of engineering.
- For admission in B.Tech, the minimum required marks in the qualifying examination is 45% in aggregate while for all the other courses the candidate need to score at least 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination to be considered as eligible.
Application procedure
- Since the college accepts offline mode of application, the candidates must visit the website and download the application form.
- Duly filled-in registration form should be submitted along with a Demand Draft (DD) in favour of “Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology”, payable at Panipat/ Samalkha.
- If paying through cash, the fee can be deposited in HDFC Bank, Samalkha Branch in the account of Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology.
- The fee receipt should be deposited to accounts branch at PIET to complete the fee payment process.
