Jiwaji University, Gwalior

Jiwaji University was established in the year 1964 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The university is managed by Kailashwasi Maharaja Shrimant Jiwaji Rao Scindia & Rajmata Shrimati Vijayaraje Scindia. It is recognized by NAAC and offers Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in the field of Medical, Engineering, Education, Management, Science, Nursing, Commerce and Arts. A total number of 401 colleges including Government, Government-aided and Private colleges are affiliated to the University. The university conducts separate entrance examination for Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses. Admissions in B. Tech courses are based on scores obtained by the candidate in JEE Main examination.

The university provides reservation only to the candidates of the state of Madhya Pradesh. 56 percent of the total number of seats are reserved for the candidates of General category. 16 percent, 20 percent, and 14 percent for the candidates of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Caste respectively.

The University offers Under Graduate in various fields such as Computer Applications, Law, Commerce, Arts and Business Administration. The university also offers B. Tech. programs of four years and M. Tech. Programmes for two years. The admissions in Under Graduate courses are provided on the basis of JEE Main examination and in Post Graduate courses is provided on the basis of GATE examination.
